Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions (GSCS) is revolutionizing the custody experience for registered investment advisors (RIAs) by delivering a differentiated, digital-forward platform built for those managing increasingly complex client portfolios. Positioned uniquely at the intersection of traditional custody and institutional capability, GSCS has been named InvestmentNews’ Custodian of the Year for its excellence, innovation, and momentum over the past 12 months.
At the core of GSCS’ success is its ability to provide growth-oriented advisors with access to the institutional-caliber tools and intellectual capital of Goldman Sachs. Through the One Goldman Sachs (OneGS) framework, the platform extends far beyond traditional asset safekeeping. It delivers integrated access to capital markets, alternative investments, and investment banking capabilities, empowering advisors to address complex client needs and evolving financial situations.
Over the past year, GSCS has prioritized scaling its digital-forward ecosystem and solutions for HNW clients. A particular focus has been democratizing access to private markets, providing access to long/short equity separately managed accounts (SMAs), and enhancing its comprehensive lending capabilities. GSCS developed an award-winning,1 open-architecture alternatives platform that enables low-touch, end-to-end management of private market investments.
This commitment to technological advancement is matched by a reimagined client onboarding experience. GSCS’ digital onboarding model has improved speed, scale, and execution quality, helping reduce completed advisor transitions from months to mere weeks.
Beyond technology, GSCS distinguishes itself through a high-touch, relationship-driven service model designed to support advisors at every stage of their growth. Advisors are backed by a dedicated team, including a client service associate focused on day-to-day operations and a relationship manager who helps advisors navigate the broader Goldman Sachs ecosystem.
By offering a compelling solution in the independent space, GSCS is helping define what a modern custody experience can look like for the future. Combining digital-forward solutions, an easy-to-use client interface, and access to firmwide resources, GSCS has established its leadership in the RIA custody market and is a highly deserving recipient of this year’s award.
Custody, clearing, and certain brokerage services are offered by Folio Investments, Inc., which conducts business as Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions (GSCS).
